This morning started off with a dash to the Onalaska YMCA for the boys to participate in the annual Kids Triathlon. They always look forward to this event and this year was no exception. Both having a great time, there were many smiles and comments about how much they love triathlons. How awesome is that???
From there we headed home and I was able to get a few projects done around the house that had been waiting to be done for some time. Just as I completed one of them my mom rolled in and it was back to family time.
We grilled salad for lunch, ate on the deck and chilled until we decided to head out to the pontoon. There we had a few drinks, shared some stories, enjoyed each other’s company, and maybe tried to catch a water snake or two! It was a blast!
All in all, it was an awesome day! What I’m most thankful for is the time we spent just chilling at home (be it our house, the water, or together as a family). Spending a day with my family and no real set agend was just what the doctor ordered, and having my mom here with us was icing on the cake.
Time to go back to chillin’ on the couch!
