Shortly after getting out of bed this morning I read the following news article from APNews:
There are several reasons I found this story so profoundly moving. There was an acknowledgment of an unjustified mistreatment of a group people by another group and a desire to start the conversation of how to right the wrong that was done. It was direct, poignant, and heartfelt. In short, it was beautiful.
Of course this doesn’t magically fix things or erase what has happened. What this does do is provide an opportunity for healing, growing, kindness, love, and joy.
What an example for us to follow.
