Mind blown… 🤯
Today we visited Xunantunich (read more about it here) and it was by far one of the coolest human made things I’ve seen. Visiting something that was built about 1,500 years ago was just incredible to be in the presence of.

Throw in a great guide who helped us understand the history, a car ride there that involved some serious mud, and a ferry that was hand cranked to cross the river and it was one of the most fun excursions we’ve had on our travels. There were even iguanas, bats, toucans, and monkeys!
There’s so much more that I’d like to say and write about this experience, but I’m pretty sure the pictures will do it way more justice! A couple of looks and you’ll see why I’m grateful for the visit to the Mayan ruins today!
Thanks!!!
