Growth:

Taking Gavin driving today was a wonderful reminder of just how easy it is to take what we’ve learned for granted. In explaining each step and talking about so many possible outcomes and obstacles I couldn’t help but realize just how much learning there is in the process of driving!

I often wish I could know everything about something all at once and then get frustrated when I don’t. Today reminded me to pause and appreciate the learning that happens little by little over an extended period of time.

Appreciation:

What I am really grateful for tonight hasn’t happened yet, but it will shortly after writing this blog! I am off to bed to get more than eight hours of sleep tonight – woo hoo!!! This has been an awesomely fun filled and productive weekend and I am feeling exhausted as a result. Bring on the sleep, loking forward to catching some extra zzz’s to start the week in style!

Presence:

We wrapped up our time with Dominic on the University of Minnesota campus this morning. In a wonderful little park we ate breakfast as a family and relaxed while we talked. This was similar to many meals on the deck on especially nice days throughout the years, but the recent scarcity of moments like this made it all the sweeter. Such an awesome moment, relaxing as a family.
